This hotel combines two turn-of-the-20th-century buildings. Works by local artists are the focal point of the public spaces. While the majority of the guest rooms are large, a few are a bit small. Double check when registering.

AAA Inspector: I enjoy this amazing location because it is a short walk from the many wonderful restaurants and attractions of Ghirardelli Square and Pier 39.
The nautical design of this hotel complements this uniquely renovated Cannery building of Fisherman's Wharf. The seafaring décor is repeated in the guest rooms, which feature original artwork. The San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park Visitor's Center is located just off the lobby.

AAA Inspector: The banquet rooms are gorgeous! I think the ballroom's perfect for the dance scene in Beauty and the Beast.
This historic hotel atop Nob Hill features an impressive lobby and selection of fine shops and restaurants. Not to be missed is The Tonga Room, a much-beloved spot for tiki drinks and live music. A nod to the current farm-to-table trend is the property's herb garden and bee farm. The herbs and honey are used in the restaurants.

On the fourth floor, relax in the amazing outdoor infinity pool and spa. Many guest rooms have fabulous water and city views. The hotel occupies the lower 10 floors of a 20 story structure.

AAA Inspector 31: I recommend requesting a room with a view of the convention center's illuminated glass spires and the Portland skyline.

The hotel's rooftop restaurant and bar features an open-air terrace overlooking downtown and the river. AAA Inspector 31: I've got to admit, the proximity to T-Mobile Park or Lumen Field is a huge selling feature for me. The view from the rooftop pool can't be beat.
Right across the street from T-Mobile Park and convenient to Lumen Field, this property has a rooftop pool and hot tub with incredible views. Guests looking for a restful sleep might want to request a courtyard room where the soothing sounds of the fountain can be heard all night.
