AAA Inspector 621: The elegant Spanish Mediterranean architecture, waterside location and elaborate décor make this my top choice to celebrate a special occasion.
Rooms are large, luxurious and uniquely designed. Relax in an overstuffed chair and treat your feet to the caress of handmade Turkish rugs after a full day of tennis, golf or poolside lounging. This exclusive luxury resort features five miles of private beach, championship sports and recreation, lush gardens and a seaside spa. Rooms vary based on location and views. The Beach Club rooms feature slightly different decor than those in the main building and its wings, but the same level of superior service is offered. The beautiful ocean views and close proximity to the expansive pool complex is the main appeal to staying in a Beach Club room.

AAA Inspector 46: This is one of my faves in town for a romantic getaway. They make everyday feel special with a complimentary seasonal cocktail and welcome treat.
This impressive circa 1909 brick mansion is the place to stay if you're looking for luxury but want to stay close to the busy nightlife of Brick Marketplace, which is just a block away. The rooftop bar is the perfect place to grab a cocktail and watch the sunset over the harbor. All of the rooms are individually decorated suites with at least 300-square-feet of space. Super-soft 400-thread-count triple-sheet bedding topped with a duvet and choice of pillow types will help you sleep well. All bathrooms feature an oversized shower with spa quality amenities, while some have a separate soaking tub. Extra luxe amenities include robes and slippers. Children's amenities are given to families with young ones including a mini pop up tent set up in their room and other personalized treats.

AAA Inspector 593: No detail is overlooked! From the luxurious bedding to the oversized spa-like bathrooms, it's easy to get into a romantic mood here.
This is an absolutely breathtaking B&B featuring precise attention to detail in its elegant room décor. The grounds include colorful landscaping, a gorgeous koi pond and a stunning outdoor pool. All guest rooms and suites are spacious with luxurious appointments. The breakfast menu changes daily, but always includes fresh eggs from the chickens raised on site. Additional amenities include complimentary breakfast in bed as well as in-suite spa services for a fee. This truly romantic and serene getaway won't disappoint.

Chapel Hill, North Carolina
With an exterior modeled on a beautiful Tuscan villa, this charming hotel offers elegant décor that is both modern and classic. Spacious rooms have plump bedding and conversational seating, plus posh marble bathrooms. Many rooms feature a juliet balcony. The staff takes pride in its attentive service. Dogs are the only pets permitted; call for details.
The Sunset Inn

AAA Inspector 33: The screened porches with rocking chairs, swings or hammocks are the perfect spot to some quiet time with your sweetie.
Overlooking the saltwater marsh and Intracoastal Waterway, and a short walk to the beach, this cozy inn features large rooms, all with king-size beds and private balconies with rocking chairs. Rooms are charmingly decorated in Coastal decor, each inspired by a different locale or Southern flora such as Charleston, Bermuda and Magnolia. A few rooms have a jetted bathtub, and feature a swing on the balcony.
