The Basics

Visitors can explore at their own pace, strolling around the ponds and gardens, and spotting fish, rays, and jellyfish in the indoor exhibition areas. Highlights include the Submarine, where you can spot seahorses, barracudas, butterfly fish, and more; a shark tank; a touch tank with rays; and a special area devoted to the fish found in France’s lakes and rivers.

How to Get There

The aquarium is located in central Amneville, just a short walk from the tourist information office. Buses run to Amneville from nearby Metz, a journey of an hour and 10 minutes.

The Amneville Aquarium is open daily, but opening hours vary throughout the year. Weekends and Wednesday afternoons are always the busiest times; visit outside of these periods to avoid the crowds.
