Bok Tower Gardens, 3 mi. n. off CR 17A (Burns Ave.) at 1151 Tower Blvd., consists of 250 acres with Olmsted-designed gardens, a 205-foot marble and coquina bell tower and Pinewood Estate, a Mediterranean-style mansion. One of Florida's oldest attractions, the tower and gardens were dedicated to the American people in 1929 by President Calvin Coolidge on behalf of founder Edward Bok, a Dutch immigrant. New gardens include a children's garden and a Florida wild garden and bog. Other features include daily concerts from the 60-bell carillon, a nature observatory and Pine Ridge Nature Preserve Trail.
