Folk Art Center is at Milepost 382, 5 mi. n.e. of Asheville, N.C., via I-40 to US 70W exit 55. Operated by the Southern Highland Craft Guild, the center celebrates the tradition of craft work in the southern Appalachian region through demonstrations, special events and changing exhibits of past and present Southern Highlands crafts. A Blue Ridge Parkway information desk is in the center. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
