Museum of the Turn of the Century (Musée Fin-de-Siècle)
Rue de la Régence 3, Brussels, Belgium, 1000
A museum made to celebrate Brussels’ artistic past at the end of the 19th century, the Musée Fin-de-Siècle is a banquet of art from celebrated artists and literary visionaries. Perhaps most exciting are the interactive displays documenting the critical changes in the political and artistic temperature of the turn of the century.
The basics
The Musée Fin-de-Siècle (or Museum of the Turn of the Century) is a new addition to Brussels’ collection of museums. It explores the fascinating era of the turn of the century between 1868 and 1914, when politics, art, and social sensibilities rapidly changed throughout Western Europe from a straight-laced 19th century to the modern age.
Explore displays and exhibits designed to showcase how this turbulent time inspired artists and writers, and learn how the Art Nouveau movement initially grew within the studios and galleries of Brussels. See pieces designed and created by leaders of the movement, and discover a new side to Art Nouveau.

As well as Art Nouveau, the museum includes examples of realism and impressionism.
How to get there
The Musée Fin-de-Siècle is situated on the Rue de la Régence, close to the Square du Petit Sablón and the Koningsplein. Take a bus to the Klein Zavel stop, a tram to Petit Sablon, or the Metro to Naamsepoort and walk the short distance up Rue du Pepin.
