National Museum of Wildlife Art

National Museum of Wildlife Art is on Rungius Rd. across from the National Elk Refuge. The museum is in a stone building wedged into a hillside so that it appears to be part of its surroundings. The collection includes more than 5,000 paintings, sculptures and photos of wildlife. Artists include Albert Bierstadt, George Catlin, John Clymer, Bob Kuhn, Georgia O'Keeffe, Carl Rungius, C.M. Russell and Conrad Schwiering. The museum also houses a children's discovery gallery and changing exhibits. Food is available.
