Precious Moments Chapel and Gardens is at 4321 S. Chapel Rd. The chapel was conceived and designed by artist Samuel J. Butcher, who in the 1970s began drawing teardrop-eyed children called “Precious Moments” to convey messages to family and friends. He further developed his signature style by depicting biblical events, which are reflected in 30 stained-glass windows and 84 murals covering the chapel's walls and ceiling. The east gallery displays a large collection of porcelain figurines and some of Butcher's early artistic work. The grounds are adorned with flower gardens, fountains and statues of inspirational figures. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
