Umpqua Lighthouse State Park is 6 mi. s. off US 101. The park is bordered by the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, which has sand dunes reaching heights up to 500 feet. Just around the corner on Lighthouse Road is the Umpqua Lighthouse–its beam of red and white light is visible for 19 miles. Note: Pets on leashes are permitted only on grounds. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
