Days Inn By Wyndham Fort Lauderdale

No places to eat near the hotel. It was very old and pretty warn down. The people were nice but we had to pay a staff member $20 to drive us to a shopping center so we could get some dinner.

The neighborhood was horrible and very unsafe. The lobby was in a separate building not attached to the actual building were the rooms were located. My wife commented the building looked like something from series Rockford Files. The image they used to advertise this hotel was shot at angle you could only really see the name of the hotel and a palm tree. Obviously altered to fool any potential customers since there were no palm trees on the property. Needless to say I cancelled my reservation and went elsewhere for lodging.

Very old. Tried to cover up things with paint. (Was told by other person they had mold coming thru the paint on their walls!) Very bad neighborhood. Walked to gas station (recommended by front desk) to get drinks was approached by man looking for money, another man was sleeping on the ground under an awning with all of his belongs by his side. Shuttle to cruise port never happened. The hotel was fully booked (100) rooms. We had signed up for shuttle service at 10 am. There were hundreds of people outside also waiting for the shuttle (which costs $15 pp cash). They sent 1 shuttle which holds about 12 people. They said it was a 25 minute round trip. They never came back!! We ended up taking a cab - many others called Ubers or cabs also! Very disappointed!

Every thing about this hotel is on a getto level. AAA needs to reevaluate and get out. That was the worst reference ever. The whole building is falling apart.
