This full-service hotel is located close to corporate campuses, restaurants and theatres. Downtown Minneapolis is a short drive away. Some rooms offer a balcony overlooking the swimming pool atrium. Smoke free premises. 297 units. 15 stories, interior corridors.

This hotel was nothing special as far as hotels go. After reading the amenities for the room I had reserved, I expected a lot more. Our hotel room was advertised as an Executive King Room which was accessible only by key card to an Executive Level. According to the hotel website, this room also gives you access to the Executive Lounge, which we searched for and didn't find. When asked at the front desk about the Executive Lounge, we received a chuckle from the hotel front desk staff who stated there wasn't an Executive Lounge, but the hotel did have one several years ago, before COVID. If you wanted a complimentary cup of coffee, you won't find one in the lobby, but you will be offered a warm cookie from the desk staff. You can purchase a cup of coffee in the small 'store' next to the front desk. The hotel website also stated there was a continental breakfast with light refreshments. The only refreshments or breakfast available in the hotel was in the adjacent restaurant/bar. The restaurant/bar offered a morning buffet, which consisted of what you would typically find at any other hotel chain as a complimentary breakfast. To partake in the morning buffet, you would pay $18 per adult and have the choice of sausages, pancakes, eggs, oatmeal and bacon, all of which were barely warm. Juices, breads, yogurt, and pastries were also available. The atmosphere was okay if you didn't mind eating at a bar but the service was good. Be aware: Upon arrival, I provided my credit card to the staff at the front desk, which was approved by my credit card company. I tried to check out two days later and was told my credit card was declining the transaction. What happened? The hotel placed a hold on my card when I arrived for $445 dollars. When I tried to check out, there wasn't available funds on my credit card. I have a $600 credit limit on my card that is used for hotel stays only. Apparently, the hotel placed a hold on my card for $445 when I arrived, my charges for the stay was $348 which would put total holds/charges of $793, exceeding my credit limit. The hotel would not let me leave and insisted it was an issue with my card. I called my credit card company and was told it was the hotel's issue and the hotel would need to release the hold. The hotel stated the hold would be released in 5-7 days and there was nothing they could do. I had the desk staff talk to my credit card representative with no resolve. Thankfully, I was traveling with my husband, and he was able to use a different credit card to pay the bill. These terms were not disclosed on the hotel chain website or the local hotel website. The following day I called the hotel chain regarding the issues I had with the check-out and with the false advertising of the hotel amenities. I was transferred to the hotel manager who was not available. I called directly to the hotel, asking for the hotel manager and was told that he was in the office but unable to take my call at that time. I left a voice message for a return phone call. That was two days ago, and I have not heard back from the hotel. When planning to stay in Minneapolis in the future, we will choose a different hotel.
