Room was old and worn. Vey disappointing. Tub seemed dirty. Prior to taking shower the next morning I found small pieces of wet ceiling that had fallen from ceiling as there was a spot previously patched. Also, there were problems with the toilet as it was not working properly. Spoke to hotel staff and explained our disappointment. We asked for a new room for our last night and we moved ourselves to another room that was much more maintained and clean. Our wedding anniversary 2 day escape was a let down. I do not think I will use AAA travel services In the future.

Great room in wonderful Location. Good value. Mostly excellent service. Just couldn’t get anything on TV but live TV, no Netflix etc, and night desk attendant wasn’t helpful with that.

Le Merdien staff were attentive and helpful with checking-in early, as well as holding our bags after checkout so we could further explore the city until leaving for the airport. The location was an easy walking distance to Central Park, as well as Broadway shows and nearby subway stations. There was construction happening across the street but the hotel was helpful in providing information regarding what hours the work would be happening and when to expect additional noise. The view from the rooftop bar was also amazing.
