Northcentral Pennsylvania's Scenic Route 6

85.4 miles: 1 hours, 47 minutes

US 6 between Wellsboro and Mt. Jewett is part of the Pennsylvania Wilds region. This section of northern Pennsylvania features small towns, long stretches of semi-wooded open road and a mountainous horizon.

Much of this portion of US 6 is through a rural section of north central Pennsylvania. The two-lane road alternates between tree-lined stretches and open country. You’ll see small towns, distant mountains and the occasional barn and silo. While trees often inhibit the views of Pine Creek and the Allegheny River, both run alongside the route for a great distance. Watch for deer.
