The journey begins at the remarkable Hermitage of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, internationally recognized as “Dragonstone” from the Game of Thrones series. This enchanting site is reached by climbing 241 steps between sea and rock, offering stunning views of the Basque coastline. Next, the tour heads to Mundaka, a charming fishing village located in the heart of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. Known for its famous left-hand wave that attracts surfers worldwide, Mundaka also captivates visitors with its rich maritime heritage. On days with an orange alert and to avoid health incidents, it is advised not to hike up to the San Juan de Gaztelugatxe hermitage during the affected hours. In any case, it is recommended to take self-protection measures, such as wearing comfortable and suitable footwear, protecting yourself from the sun, and staying properly hydrated.
