DescriptionIron ore, which drives the country’s steel industry, has been mined for more than a century around Hibbing, the Mesabi Range’s most populous town. This is the birthplace of Greyhound Bus Lines, Boston Celtics basketball great Kevin McHale and music legend Bob Dylan; Dylan's childhood home (not open to the public) stands on Seventh Avenue East, renamed Dylan Drive. Depending on the season, outdoor enthusiasts take to the surrounding mountains on hiking boots, skis, motorcycles and snowmobiles.
