Mille Lacs Indian Museum and Trading Post is 12 mi. n. on US 169 at 43411 Oodena Dr. The museum, on the southwest shore of Lake Mille Lacs, celebrates the history and culture of the Mille Lacs band of Ojibwe Indians as interpreted by tribal members. Interactive exhibits, listening stations and video presentations offer insight into the Ojibwe way of life. The Four Seasons Room explores activities traditional to each season: hunting, maple sugaring, gardening and berry picking, and the harvesting of wild rice.
