Mamiku Gardens

Mamiku Gardens is off the East Coast Hwy. A haven of tropical flowers, fruits and birds, the 15-acre (6-hectare) botanical garden includes a banana plantation, forest trails, a medicinal herb garden and an archeological dig. The Mystic Garden features wild and cultivated orchids. On the grounds is the site of a battle between British and French forces in 1796.

At the gate house, visitors may borrow plant guidebooks, maps and walking sticks.

Guided tours are available. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
