Yarmouth lies at the end of two scenic routes: Hwy. 1, which follows St. Mary's Bay north to Digby, and Hwy. 3, which heads east to Shelburne.

Bay Ferries Limited provides car and passenger service between Yarmouth and Portland, Maine. Reservations for the 5.5-hour crossing are required; phone (877) 762-7245.

Self-guiding Tours

A tourist information center at Main and Forest streets in front of the ferry terminal provides brochures outlining a self-guiding walking tour of various points of interest, including the city's Georgian and Italianate houses.
