Sarnia
Sarnia is the northern starting point for the St. Clair Parkway, one of three such recreational drives in Ontario. It hugs the meandering St. Clair River's park-lined shores, before heading inland to Chatham and Dresden. Hiking trails are plentiful in the area.
Winter brings fun to the Sarnia and Port Huron areas with events such as the Celebration of Lights, phone (519) 344-8422, when 60,000 twinkling bulbs and major displays brighten Centennial Park and downtown mid-November to early January, and the snow sculpting competition held in mid-January during SnowFest.

Local farmers sell their produce year-round every Wednesday and Saturday at a farmers market in the Mitton Village area, 110 Proctor St.
