In addition, the community is located in Long Valley near the southern end of Lake Cascade, a 30,000-acre reservoir formed in 1948. Boating, sailing, kayaking, water skiing and some of the state's best perch fishing can be enjoyed on the body of water, and in winter, ice fishing is added to the long list of recreational activities. Lake Cascade State Park , 4,450 acres off SR 55, offers camping facilities and six boat ramps.
