German sculptor Klaus Vieregge fashioned “Gothic,” one of the art pieces displayed at the Chicago Athenaeum International Sculpture Park, out of stone from Schaumburg, Germany. Just east of the intersection of Schaumburg Road and Summit Drive, the 20-acre sculpture park features 15 art pieces constructed from such materials as bronze, fiberglass, steel and stone; phone (815) 777-4444.
