Woodville

The Woodville Deer and Wildlife Festival, held the second Saturday in October, celebrates the town's cultural and artistic heritage. Local artisans demonstrate crafts like wooden spoon carving and pine needle basket making. The Wild Game Cook-off spotlights creative ways of preparing duck, alligator, venison and wild hog, and area musicians offer a menu of blues, rock and gospel. The festivities take place at downtown's Courthouse Square. Admission is $5; free (ages 0-4). For additional information phone (601) 888-3998.
