The Caribou Crossing Trading Post is located just off the Klondike Highway, 2.5 miles (4 kilometers) north of the small town of Carcross. It is 68 miles (110 kilometers) north of Skagway, Alaska and 43 miles (69 kilometers) south of Whitehorse, Yukon. It can be reached by train, bus, or car.
The trading post is open May through September, from 10am to 4pm. Visit on a cool day if you want to take a dog cart ride. On hot days, you can still visit and take photos with the sled dogs, but the cart ride is replaced with an ATV ride for the wellbeing of the dogs.
