Both Capitol and the museum are free to enter. Free guided tours are available for groups of 5-30 people but must be organized in advance. Smaller groups can take self-guided tours or use a downloadable app.

The Capitol and museum are open Monday through Friday from morning until late afternoon, and close on federal and Georgia state holidays. Free interpretive tours for large groups are held mostly during mornings between mid-morning and lunchtime—visit in the early morning or after 1pm to avoid them.
