The museum is featured as a stop on self-guided audio tours of the Alaskan state capital, along with Marine Park, St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, and the capitol building. You can also take a walking tour of Juneau offered by the museum itself, focusing on topics like geology, mining history, and true crime; these tours include museum admission.

The Juneau-Douglas City Museum is in downtown Juneau, right across from the Alaska State Capitol. It’s within easy walking distance of most places in town.
The museum is open daily during the summer (May to September) and Tuesday to Saturday during the winter (October to April). Admission is free during the winter.
