Campground Overview

Family Atmosphere, where you can relax and getaway!

Should Be Fishing is a Family-owned and Operated Campground, located in the beautiful River Valley of Oklahoma, less than 2 miles from the Lower Illinois River.

Lake Tenkiller is the perfect gateway to Trout Fishing Heaven, Kayaking, and Hiking. There is a short drive to many fishing, boating, and water sports opportunities in Lake Tenkiller and a few short minutes into Gore/Webbers falls to boat and fish the Arkansas River.

Gore and Lake Tenkiller area offers a variety of food venues for everyone, from Fast food if you are in a hurry to home-cooked food. Don't miss checking out Gore and Vian.

Area Tips

Come and enjoy the fun and exciting Lake Tenkiller recreation area!  Our Campground is minutes away from Lake Tenkiller when you can enjoy days of fishing, water sports and even lake diving! The Lower Illinois River is just under 2 miles from the Campground where  you find world class trout fishing, and not to forget the Arkansas River where you can fish for a variety of sport fish!  Located between the small historic towns of Vian and Gore, Oklahoma, enjoy the relaxing small town atmosphere and escape the fast paced life for a little bit.  

At our park you can relax in peace and quiet, with a firepit and enjoy the stars.

Rules

Pet Policy

We are a pet-friendly park under the following conditions: PET SIZE: Your pet is welcome as long as it is manageable, poorly behaved and aggressive pets will be ask to be kept in your RV or ask to leave. VACCINATIONS: Pets must have current vaccinations GENERAL: Pets cannot run free except in the dog park. Aggressive animals are not allowed. Owners cannot leave pets staked outside. Owners are responsible for the behavior of their pets. WASTE: Owners must clean up after their pets, in the dog park, and around their site. We have a “no-poo in the campground” policy. Repeat offenders will be removed from the park. PET LIMITS: Only (2) two pets are allowed per RV, additional on approval of campground management Dog park area closed between the hours of Midnight (12:00 AM) to 4:00 AM

Sewer & Septic

DO NOT flush wet wipes, feminine products down the toilet. Place them in trash receptacles. They clog up the septic system.

Vehicle Safety

REPAIRS: No vehicle or motor repairs that require more than 4 hours. No major repairs are allowed on site. No cars that are not running well or leaking fluids are allowed in this park. PARKING: Do NOT park vehicles in the roadway. Two vehicles max allowed per site. All persons must have a valid driver’s license to operate any motorized vehicle on the campground property. The speed limit in the park is 15 MPH. OLDER RVs: Older RV welcome if in good condition, to be approved by campground management. Old, unmaintained, unsafe, or damaged RVs are NOT allowed in this park. Tarps or plywood to cover holes are not allowed.

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are observed from 11PM to 7 AM. No outside televisions, radios, or loud music after 10 PM.

Long Stay

Guests wanting to stay continuously for longer than 60 days must be approved by park owners.

Trailers and Boat Storage

Our spaces are oversize, and we will try to accommodate your boat, please don't park on the grass when wet. If you need boat parking accommodations or your boat doesn't fit in you space call the owners and we will find you a place

RV GUIDELINES

TRASH: Trash must be bagged and put in the dumpsters provided. If you keep trash outside your RV, it must be in a closed receptacle. It is up to you to keep the area around your RV neat and clean INSURANCES: RVs, boats, etc. Insurance must be carried by individual owners. Park is not responsible for damage or theft. GENERATORS: Generators may only be run during power outages.

Fire, Fireworks, and Firearms Safety

Shooting fireworks in the RV park must be approved by the park owners. All firearms must stay in your RV. Do not discharge firearms in the RV park. Campfires are only allowed at individual sites in the provided fire pit, Please do not move the fire pit around the site, the heat can cause damage to your neighbors property or the lawn. A community fire pit is located at the center of the park. Campfires must be extinguished by 10 PM.

Restroom Policy

All personal items must be removed immediately from restroom/shower areas after use. Please leave the restrooms clean and free of clutter. Youth and children must be accompanied by an adult registered in the campground.

General Rules

We want you to enjoy your stay at Should Be Fishing Campground LLC. Fun and partying are welcomed, but ONLY WITH CONSIDERATION OF OTHER GUESTS, especially after dark. Our guests are welcome to use the facilities within the campground. Please be respectful of our facilities and use them with care. Should Be Fishing Campground LLC is not responsible for damage or injury caused by our guests’ use of these facilities.

Smoking

No smoking in the restrooms, laundry, or office.

RV Wash

If you wash your RV or vehicle at your site there is a $15 charge payable prior to washing. Check with the office manager.

Service Call

If a tenant calls with a problem and it turns out to be the tenants problem, tenant will be responsible to pay for the service call.
