The 1830s Greek Revival house appeals to those looking for a historical setting. The main house offers thematic period-style rooms. More modest accommodations are available in the carriage house. Jefferson Davis made his last public address from an upper balcony. Some of the main areas of the house are open for public tours, but overnight guests also have some comfortable lounging spaces. The guest room baths vary in size but are well stocked with amenities. The very inviting pool area and shady, brick-lined gardens are pluses.
