This lovely craftsman-style lodge offers fashionably decorated rooms, some with fireplaces and balconies. Enjoy picturesque views of Tamarack State Beach from the handsome breakfast room and sundeck. Smoke free premises. 41 units. 3 stories, exterior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

No housekeeping service allowed for our 4 night stay in a 2 queen beds room. We had to call for fresh towels, cups, etc., which were delivered to our room. We paid full price for the room without housekeeping. The previous 3 nights we stayed at a hotel in Temecula which offered housekeeping without restrictions. At this BW, the toilet and tub/shower were located to the right side of our entry door in an extremely small room. The sink & counter were to the left of the entry without a door. The room and the public spaces were clean and neat. The $16.00 daily parking fee wasn't worth it. The breakfast was good. We will not return to this hotel, nor recommend it to anyone.
We had a enjoyable 1 night stay. The room had wonderful fireplace, comfortable bed, and a view of the ocean! A good breakfast free for the guests in the morning, with a good selection of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit, good coffee. Next time we are in Carlsbad we will, most likely, stay at the Beach View Lodge.
