The motel sits on the beach overlooking the Chesapeake Bay and offers rooms, suites and efficiencies in both the tower and the original two-story building. Some units have a private balcony. The large poolside patio overlooking the dunes is the perfect place to while away an afternoon. Smoke free premises. 86 units, some two bedrooms and efficiencies. 2-5 stories, exterior corridors.

We enjoyed being on the water, and in a private area of town . However, The room was not cleaned well. The whole facility is old and cruddy. The whole place needs a “deep” cleaning as well as general updates and garbage pick up on the grounds. Needs with towels and house keeping were only available every three days. We need it to go to the office to request towels or garbage bags while waiting in line..

First of all, the outside door did not fit securely...lots of white sky coming thru. Also, I never got room serviced...towels just piled up. Would not stay here again with that servicew.

A generally nice hotel right on the Chesapeake Bay. A good alternative to the pricier Oceanfront hotels at Virginia Beach. Swimming in the Bay is pretty fun for kids, and you can easily drive to the Oceanfront if you want to. We had a suite that was a good size for a family. I've stayed in cleaner hotels, but I know it's hard to keep a beach hotel super clean. But overall, not bad. There is also a nice outdoor pool overlooking the Bay.
