Comfort Inn & Suites Danbury-Bethel

Young staff helped us along as best they could over the Thanksgiving holiday. We changed rooms three times and I suspect the staff were relatively new to the property. First room was one-half of a connecting with the other half belonging to a long-stay occupant. Their cooking got through to our bathroom, making us uncomfortable (no one wants to smell "kitchen" in the bathroom, right?!). The new room was a king with connecting living room suite that we really liked but also knew we might not be able to keep given our reservation around the Thanksgiving holiday. Sure enough, we had to move down the hall to another double-queen, same as our first room, on Black Friday, left for the day to be with family but discovered in the evening that the bathroom had been clearly flooded in the recent past from the room above (judging from the wallpaper peeling at the top). The room had a musty smell we couldn't tolerate so we notified the front desk and they got us our fourth and final room...which was fine. Staff were good to us, even giving us a discount on the last night of our stay for the hassle. Our first, second and fourth rooms weren't bad. The third room definitely needs some work and, probably, a drying out or abatement. Continental breakfast was fine. No complaints there. The place allows pets so be warned about barking.
