This was a very comfortable place to rest our heads on our road trip from Denver to Galveston! We arrived in the evening and the check in was a breeze. The man at the front desk was friendly and helpful and provided us with a luggage cart to get our bags upstairs. Parking was plentiful and free and there’s a nice unloading area in the front of the property. The location is great - we were able to pop right off the highway and back on in the morning. There are plenty of restaurants within 10 minutes of the hotel. The room was very comfortable, clean, great bed and good air conditioning which was a must in the August heat. We had to leave before breakfast began at 6:30am but it is included with the reservation and the breakfast area looked nice. We didn’t get a chance to swim but they had a nice outdoor pool too. Overall a great place to stay while in the area because of location, comfort and quality AC.

I am surprised this is AAA approved. First of all I was charged $20 more than my reservation. The water in the toilet was running all night so that kept me up. The door was not installed properly so the light coming through affected my sleep. The breakfast are has 5 tables so if you didn't get one of those tables you had to take your food to another room. Five tables and the hotel was fully booked. I made a complaint to the hotel and the manager just simply invited me back. That was just the craziest thing I've ever heard. One of the tables I sat at was so close to the AC unit that with it being 40° outside, the air was blowing directly in the back of my neck. Just an awful experience. The bathroom tub was disgusting with paint chipping and the water fills the tub while you are taking a shower.
