Oversold their double beds and “had to pick somebody to be moved”. I was selected because I “wasn’t a Marriott member” and they didn’t technically have a reservation for me because I booked through a 3rd party… AAA. So they “upgraded” me to a king, that smelled like mildew. And “free-of-charge” . Couldn’t believe they said that to me. And, they couldn’t move me because they were sold out. Except for room ###. Which is how I got stuck with it. It took me two phone calls and an email to the GM plus three 45-minute phone calls to Marriott customer service to essentially get my money back in hotel credit plus one free night. I never got a single return call from Marriott. I’ve stayed at plenty hotels and plenty Marriott’s, I’ve never seen anything like it. Wth.
