During warmer months, there is an excellent patio area with a fire pit, which is a great place to relax after a busy day. Smoke free premises. 174 units. 5 stories, interior corridors. I was VERY disappointed with my stay, since I came to Chicago for a funeral service for my sibling. After a long day, I returned to my room (#443) only to find it exactly as I had left it. There had been no housekeeping service. I immediately went down to the front desk (the time was about 10:30 PM) to convey my disappointment, only to be told that, on checkin I was required to ask for housekeeping service. In all my years of travel, I had never been required to do so. It’s not acceptable to me to not have that service, for the cost of $377 for two nights stay. To hear that’s just the way it is leaves me disconcerted. And the next time I travel, I’ll look for choices other than Marriott.
