Although I had booked two rooms on the highest floor available, only one of the rooms was higher than second floor Even though I informed them that it was our 39th anniversary, we were told there were no more rooms available. The other couple got the higher room. The room we initially had 2nd floor)was deplorable! It didn't look as it had been cleaned and smelled of cigarette smoke.. My wife went down to the desk, talked to the person behind the desk and we were given a room on the 5th floor (no more rooms available???) The "new" room was better, but only to a certain extent. The bathroom was in ill- repair as well. Poor caulking, filthy behind the sink, and incredibly small bathroom. Rather than spoil our anniversary with changing hotels, I didn't continue to point out the issues to my wife so we could try to enjoy the weekend. I am very much disappointed. I have stayed at several Embassy Suites over the years, in various locations in many states and have never been dissatisfied until now.
