The representative was kind and did reach out to the hotel; however, I do not sense the issue was explained to the hotel. I wanted to pay more money for my reservation rate. Usually a business accommodates upgrades and encourages them. I also was asking for help within minutes of making the reservation. I was very surprised the hotel wasn't willing to accommodate an upgrade and I do not think my situation was explained well over the phone between the representative and the hotel.
