The comfortable rooms feature soft bedding, ample storage space, large TV and multiple USB ports located in convenient locations. The relaxing outdoor pool area is a wonderful place to unwind. While the hotel is located on a busy street, once you are inside the hotel it is an oasis of calm. Isla Verde beach is just across the street. There are two wings to the hotel and an inviting courtyard pool area. Meets AAA guest room security requirements. Smoke free premises. 201 units. 4-5 stories, interior corridors. Booked this hotel last minute after our original reservation at a different location was canceled due to water being scarce and unavailable in the Loiza area. We made the reservation here at the Hampton Inn & Suites literally 4 days prior to arrival and I paid more than what I would normally pay for any Hampton Inn. I was not happy at how much I had to pay a night. Even with the AAA pricing I paid $258 night plus additionally for resort fee and taxes. But, still the most reasonable going rate at the time compared to other hotels in the same area. Also was just a few minutes from the airport and a 5 minute walk to the beach. AND, I have to say that for what I normally expect from a Hampton Inn, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. So much so that I questioned whether it was a Hampton Inn. I was impressed with how clean and updated it was. The lobby and the room looked freshly remodeled; they felt very fresh, new, and clean. They have a wonderful FREE hot daily breakfast from 6-10am, and happy hour providing unlimited FREE drinks from 5-6pm daily. Did I mention the Happy hour always had free snacks like mixed nuts, nacho w/cheese, and popcorn??? ALL FREE! Yes FREE! Although I was not originally happy about what I had to pay, I felt much better about it once I arrived and experienced all they offered. Another thing I thought was bonus, is that they offer hot coffee, hot cocoa, and hot tea 24hrs a day. Not just in the morning for Breakfast, ALL day. All these little details made a world of a difference to me. And I bet if booked in advance, would be much cheaper than what I had to stay very last minute. Which would definitely be such a good deal. Service was decent. The check in staff, breakfast staff, and housekeeping staff were all really nice and helpful. The bar staff, not so much. They weren’t as attentive to the hotel guests like the check-in, breakfast, and housekeeping staff was. Which is the reason I did not give a 5 star. I would definitely stay there again.
