The older property has classic Texas Hill Country décor and guest rooms of varying sizes. The king bedrooms have sofa sleepers. There are multiple shops and dining options in the immediate area. Smoke free premises. 60 units. 3 stories, interior corridors.

It was thanksgiving so the price of room was nearly $200 but we needed a place to stay so paid it. Normal price is much lower. There was no one at front counter when we arrived. There was no one anywhere. It was empty. I waited and called out for someone. No one appeared. I called on phone. No one answered. I was in lobby at front desk when someone finally came to check me in. There was no greeting. He just looked at me. I advised I had been waiting 10 minutes and wanted to check in. He actually told me i had not been waiting 10 minutes and he was helping another customer. Well it was not in site. Apparently I was tired from traveling and he needed a course in customer service. It appeared the hotel was understaffed due to the holiday. The next morning the staff was smiling and pleasant.
