The majority of rooms offer balconies, and some overlook the adjacent babbling creek. Most rooms have a comfortable upholstered chair and many have an extra counter area. Smoke free premises. 109 units, some two bedrooms and efficiencies. 3-4 stories (no elevator), interior/exterior corridors.

Beware that you may be placed in a building behind Hayward Inn as we were. Felt like bait and switch after seeing great pics of main hotel online. I don't know whether to blame AAA or the hotel marketing. While Hayward Inn main bldg is updated/newer, the side bldg where we stayed is not-- older apartment or motel with no elevators, no a/c in hallway outside of rooms, and stuffy, small room. Found several hairs in shower. Bathroom walls under vanity also needed cleaning. Because we liked location of hotel, we booked another night in main hotel and would rate it 5 stars.
