The historic hotel has been restored to provide a glimpse into Baton Rouge's past. It celebrates the glory years of legendary governor Huey P. Long. The hotel's original facade has been preserved. Due to the historic character of the original building, rooms can vary in size; some units boast nice views of the river. Excellent works by local artists are presented throughout the public spaces. The downtown location is convenient to the riverfront, museums and convention facilities. Smoke free premises. 291 units. 10 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

It was pretty dated and loud for the price. But largely fine — mostly what you’d expect.
There was absolutely NOTHING negative to be said about my five-day stay at this property. EVERYTHING was absolutely excellent. However, six individuals were EXCEPTIONALLY great. At the front door those people were/are Ethan, Adonis and Herbert; at the front desk those people were/are Ashley, Sonnisha and Kelvin.
