This property offers a superb location across from the cruise ship docks and in the midst of Old San Juan. The hotel features 32 junior suites which provide extra space to ensure the best comfort. The corner guest rooms tend to be larger. All of the eighth-floor guest units feature a Juliet balcony. This is the only large, full-service hotel in Old San Juan. The rooftop pool area, open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., has panoramic vistas of the cityscape and cruise ship docks. If you must keep up with your workout routine while on vacation, the fitness center is open 24 hours. Meets AAA guest room security requirements. The hotel is presently undergoing renovations. This created confusion on where to check in, locating the room (numbers seem to be moved around randomly on the floor) and being able to move around between construction walls was challenging. Newly renovated room, however, was very nice with only problems of missing tv remote and non-working phone. Staff were extremely friendly, food at the cafe was very good and buffet breakfast had a nice variety of items to choose from.
