A wall of greenery, dramatic spiral staircase and eye-catching artwork set the scene for many a social media-worthy moment at this posh hotel tucked into a neighborhood a short walk from the mall. The mezzanine-level restaurant serves brunch daily, and the lounge frequently hosts live music during happy hour. The rooftop restaurant is a hot spot for upscale Japanese-inspired fare, complete with live-fire cooking on a robata grill, and lounge seating on a terrace with terrific views. Guest rooms are compact and have an of-the-moment mod vibe, with plump bedding and glamorous black-tiled showers. Standard rooms are the best bet for the corporate traveler; they have a king bed, lounge chair and small task table. Seating in a standard room with two queen beds is restricted to the luggage bench; you’ll have to pile the pillows up in bed to veg out and watch the 55-inch TV. Premium rooms feature a king bed and a peekaboo shower centered in the guest room; the glass is tinted so your privacy is preserved—just barely! A few one-bedroom suites are available. Stayed in this hotel for 1 night. Food and room were way overpriced for a "4 diamond" hotel, but the surrounding area has some good restaurants. Bathroom was not wiped down and the rain shower had not been cleaned. No microwave. Motion detection under bed lighting that seemingly cannot be turned off- be prepared to constantly be woken up everytime you move an inch. Would have expected better amenities from a hotel with such a high rating, a little disappointing.
