The hotel's serene rooms are decorated in shades of gray with plump duvets and expansive work spaces. Many offer views of Old Port, Mont-Royal or the Palais des Congrès Convention Centre. One of the hotel's two towers was once home to the city's English-language newspaper and now gives the restaurant its name. Guest rooms in the historic building are more compact in size, but they're a perfect fit for couples or solo business travelers. Smoke free premises. 455 units. 4-22 stories, interior corridors. Excellent location, concierge informative and pleasant, those that greet you and take care of your car and bags were competent and friendly. Daily parking is a bit expensive. Nice restaurant, we had an enjoyable breakfast. The cleanliness of the room was my main concern-we had someone come up to wipe everything but it needed a good cleaning. Wallpaper looks dirty and spotty in places, and the bathroom layout is wasteful and nonsensical. Tons of bathroom space but toilet jammed right next to shower and little sink space with fake drawers below. Should be actual drawers and additional shelves. Overall nice experience except the actual room needs to be cleaner and finished well.
Everything was great, except the spell of garbage in the bar and by the elevators. You need to correct this problem.
