This hotel was lacking maintenance and the location was less than desirable. We requested a ground floor room to accommodate our pets when we made the reservation but even though we arrived early in the evening, staff said no ground floor rooms were available. However, we observed several rooms on the ground floor without guests until much later in the evening. In addition, the beds were so hard that they were only one step better than sleeping on the floor.

Owners have done some work to upgrade, but still a little dreary, and a basic room. Some of the other guests a bit scary, at least the one who was obviously high/drunk and nearly chased me down the sidewalk. Location is great and would be fun to make this into a retro style motel to match the historic district.
