Radisson Hotel Schaumburg

The few people we saw working at the hotel during our stay were nice and accommodating. The hotel appears to in poor conditions. It's clean on the surface, but you can see filth on walls, under chairs in corners. It is almost as if they only clean without moving anything. The trashcans right outside the front door were overflowing with trash. The hotel appears to be in disrepair. Broken furniture, out of service ice machines leaking water in almost every floor. The only ice machine working was on the 2nd floor. The first room we were given when we checked in was out of service. The door was stuck and would not open. The only person working that day was trying to manage the front desk as well as attend to guests' requests. He had to leave the front desk to try to open the stuck door to no avail. He gave us another room which was also out of service with yellow tape across the door. The third room we were assigned finally opened, but the cold-water pipe in the sick was, for some reason, shot off. Maintenance had to come fix it. The room appeared clean on the surface, but we were skeptical after seeing the conditions of the common areas. We were very disappointed with this hotel, especially being a repeatable name hotel. Had we known, we would have paid the extra $20 to stay at a different hotel.
