My daughter and I stayed for a weekend while she competed in a dance competition and took convention classes in an event being held in the hotel. We live locally, but since she had to be there very early every day, I decided to splurge and got us a room for the weekend. I want to start by saying the staff here is absolutely INCREDIBLE. Almost everyone in the building went above and beyond to make the weekend fun and enjoyable for us. Everyone was so kind and friendly! Now, the it so great stuff. Our room was t super clean. There were gaps in the shower around the shower head, tap, and temperature controls. The drain was broken. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls. There was a dead bug under the vanity in the bathroom. The wall thermostat was broken. There were stains in random places throughout the room (one was on the lampshade??). We heard rumors that they only ran two elevators at a time, which is frustrating when you have a hotel full of dancers and their families. The worst part of the weekend is there was no hot water the entire three days we were there. This hotel has the potential to be a jewel in the city. The location is within walking distance to LOVE Park, City Hall, the Academy of Music and the Kimmel Center, etc…but I don’t think I would stay again unless some changes were made.
