I did not like how there were 400-500 dollars more for my stay than what I was told. 400 dollars in hidden fees is ridiculous! When booking a reservation, the quoted price should include ALL FEES. Also, I ran into 2-3 other people that complained about the same issue. Their price for their stay was also 400-500 dollars more as well! Thankfully, staff was great and room was cleaned. Although, the bath tub could use an update or just remove and do a nice big shower instead.

Bedroom is actually “sunken,” 3 steps down from entrance hall to room and bathroom. Dark carpet. It’s a hazard for anyone with balance or sight issues. There is no chest of drawers to store clothes, so I had to live out of my suitcase. There is no restaurant. The nearest are one- two long Chicago blocks away. In cold rainy weather. I asked an evening desk clerk for directions to a nearby street. He played at finding it on his computer and confidently pointed in the wrong direction. After a 10 minute futile hike in cold windy weather I turned back and found the street by asking other pedestrians. Finally, the surcharge of $135 billed on arrival is gouging— even if AAA said there might be when I made the reservation.
