This section of US 31E meanders nearly 18 miles over rolling, forested hills and fields, occasionally crossing over arms of Barren River Lake. At midpoint is the entrance to Barren River Lake State Park, a 2,187-acre resort area with a restaurant, boating, swimming, nature trails and golf. Two picnic areas offer a quiet place to rest and enjoy the scenery.
