The two-lane Burgeo Scenic Highway (PR 480) traverses vast stretches of subarctic tundra and boreal forests. Numerous bodies of beautiful, clear water—some of which are framed by trees—are sprinkled throughout. Some of these brooks, ponds and streams are extremely small and lie right alongside the road, and others stretch to the horizon.
