The first half of Lake Ontario’s North Shore Scenic Drive (PR 33) hugs the Lake Ontario shore. Between Bath and Amherstview, allow for leg stretching at turnouts with pretty views of the sailboat-speckled lake and Amherst Island. Cruise past small towns, farms and wineries; near Wellington there are 30-plus wineries. Expect some ferry crossings along the way.
