About AuroraAurora is home to the Aurora Reservoir. This municipal park offers recreational activities year-round, including swimming and boating. Special events proliferate in Aurora and include Kidspree, in early June. It takes place in the Aurora Municipal Center with live entertainment and hands-on activities for children. Early October brings Punkin' Chunkin' Colorado, held at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds; festivities include hay rides, music, scarecrow building, a pumpkin patch and a pumpkin launch.
